Recreation Department youth basketball

The Franklin Recreation Department has been helping kids play basketball for over thirty years.  The Department’s Youth Basketball League provides instructional-level basketball to boys and girls in grades K – 8.  Here’s an example of a recent winter-season League offering:

The Department also runs intramural basketball programs for boys in grades 9-12 who are not involved in the high school basketball program.

Metro Basketball

For more advanced, serious basketball athletes in Franklin, there’s the Metro Basketball Program for grades 4 through 8.

Teams compete against teams from other area towns. Teams are open to children grades 4-8 who have a commitment to playing  serious basketball, the program features more practice time, more games and a tournament at season’s end.
