Every year, Franklin, Massachusetts honors its active and veteran U.S. military personnel and on Memorial Day with ceremonies and a parade .
Strong attendance every year
Crowds attend the Memorial Day events every year. The parade route is lined with people and the Town Common is packed annually.
A wreath is laid at the WWI Memorial at the Dean College campus.
More commemorations are held at the War Memorial at the Franklin Town Common.
Youth groups and veterans
Boy and Girl Scout troops of all ages join veterans in the parade through Franklin’s downtown. School bands march in the parade.
It’s fun for the kids while the grownups reflect on the meaning of the day.
